On a mission to improve a dealership's bottom line

Dealer by Design was born out of a genuine need to bring order to the chaos that often surrounded the sold vehicle get-ready process at Eric's family dealerships. Frustrated by the inefficiencies caused by uncoordinated departments, Eric set out to create a solution that would streamline operations and improve transparency across the board.

Initially, Eric experimented with shared calendars, forms, and spreadsheets, but each system ultimately fell short due to turnover and the inevitable 'exceptions to the rule.' These makeshift solutions lacked the transparency needed to maintain consistency and often depended too heavily on a few key individuals. It became clear that something more robust and adaptable was necessary.

In October 2017, the first proof of concept for what would become the Delivery Hub was launched. By 2019, we had refined the product into a beta version and began working closely with Guelph Hyundai and Caledon Mitsubishi. Their feedback and insights have been instrumental in shaping the Delivery Hub into the powerful tool it is today, continually evolving through the valuable ideas shared by dealership employees.

Our dedication and commitment to improvement led to a significant milestone in 2024 when our work with Guelph Hyundai resulted in a Master Vendor Agreement with the largest publicly traded Canadian auto group. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey, highlighting the trust and value our software brings to the automotive industry.

Today, approximately 50% of our new customers come to us through word-of-mouth referrals. This speaks volumes about the impact our software has on dealerships, seamlessly integrating into daily operations and streamlining the workday for employees across all departments.
